Dzukou Valley Trek
Hidden amidst the rolling hills that form the natural boundary between Nagaland and Manipur, the Dzukou Valley Trek is one of the most beautiful and unique trekking experiences in Northeast India. Renowned for its vast grasslands, seasonal wildflowers, crystal-clear streams, and panoramic mountain views, Dzukou Valley is often referred to as the "Valley of Flowers of the East." Situated at an altitude of approximately 2,452 meters, the valley offers an enchanting landscape unlike any other in India. During the monsoon and post-monsoon months, the valley transforms into a carpet of blooming flowers, including the rare Dzukou Lily, found only in this region. The trek is relatively short but highly rewarding, making it suitable for beginners, nature lovers, photographers, and experienced trekkers alike. Starting from Viswema village near Kohima, the trail ascends through forests and ridges before opening into one of the most spectacular alpine valleys in the country.
