Triund Trek
The Triund Trek is one of the most accessible Himalayan treks and a favorite among first-time trekkers, weekend hikers, and travelers visiting Dharamshala and McLeod Ganj. Located in Himachal Pradesh, this short trek climbs to an altitude of about 2875 meters and offers uninterrupted views of the Dhauladhar mountain range on one side and the Kangra Valley on the other. Despite its relatively short distance, the trek delivers a complete mountain experience with forest trails, steep climbs, open meadows, and dramatic changes in scenery. Triund stands out because it combines ease of access with a sense of high-altitude wilderness, making it an ideal introduction to trekking in the Himalayas.
